The Bible
The Bible is inspired, inerrant and infallible. It does not contain the Word of God, but is the Word of God. The Word of God is our sole authority for faith and practice. Dr. Wilson is one of the few men of God who still preaches out of the Authorized King James Version.
Salvation
Scripture plainly teaches us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The fact that all people are sinners means that all people stand in need of the free gift of Salvation. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life on earth before he became sin for the entire world. Christ paid the sin debt for the entire world on the cross, was buried and rose the third day purchasing our redemption. The only way to have eternal life is by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
The Local Church
The local church is not only the bride of Christ, but it is the foundation from which God does his work throughout the dispensation of Grace. The local church is to be an autonomous body of believers who voluntarily join themselves together to carry out the great commission.
About Us
Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. He was raised in a Christian Home and accepted Christ as his personal savior at the age of seven at the Gospel Baptist Church in Newton, NC. Growing up he was avid basketball player, golfer and hunter. At the age of seventeen God called him to preach. After announcing his call to preach he was asked to speak on the very next Sunday night. God led Dr. Wilson to attend The Crown College of the Bible where he developed a deep love for the Word of God. Even though he did not remain in the independent movement, Dr. Wilson still credits his time under Dr. Clarence Sexton's ministry to be the among the most influential times of his life. After graduating from The Crown College Graduate School and Seminary he took his first church in Lakeland, GA. He then served for a brief time at Woodlawn Baptist in Conover and then as an associate minister at the Fellowship Baptist Church in WV. In 2017 God led Dr. Wilson and his family back to the Carolina's where he accepted the call to be the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Marshville. Since his move to Marshville the church has seen tremendous growth and is currently expanding it's facility. Dr. Wilson is married to his wife Anne-Marie and has one daughter named Elisabeth. His passion is to preach the truth and provide resources for God's people to grow in their faith.
